This year's First Responder class will consist of 5 evening classes and one day of classes held on a Saturday. During the course, students will be taught the basics of medical and trauma assessments, airway management and proper techniques for bandaging, splinting and taking vital signs. Additionally, the course will include a American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR class. At the end of the course, those attending will receive a MA certified First Responder Card and a CPR BLS for health care providers card. The cost of this year's course will be $150 which includes all books and certifications for the entire course. Listed below are the course dates and times, locations will be announced at a later date.
The application for this course is due in the WPI Police office by September 12th and payment will be due by the first day of class. The application can be DOWNLOADED HERE Any questions regarding the class can be directed to ems@wpi.edu.
